Location: Kido Safaris is based at a private big five game reserve in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

About your host at Kido Safaris: Henk Brink, Owner. Kido Safaris is a safari outfit that operates in the Southern Part of Africa with concessions in Tanzania and neighbouring countries securing the species required by each client. We have various hunting concession areas that we make use of and the accommodations include electricity with hot running water and flushing toilets, lounge/dinner area, lapa (outside fireplace) bar, kitchen and bedrooms or chalets. We pride ourselves on offering quality service and attention to detail – from our accommodation, to our vehicles, as well as our guides, ensuring that your entire experience is memorable.

­­­­­­Hunting experience at Kido Safaris: Our big five hunting reserve is approximately 60 000 acres and hosts a great diversity of wildlife including elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo, lion, giraffe, zebra, wild dog, cheetah and variety of other plains game species. Kido Safaris are tailored to meet each client’s individual requirements, by offering trophy hunting of more than forty species at our various concession, specialised photographic safaris and adventure filled excursions. We offer trophy hunting of more than forty species and each of them has a different challenge. See our trophy fees and special packages. All field preparation of your trophies is done by Kido Safars. Hunting Season is conducted throughout the year. The recommended months are March to October. Hunters will be escorted by licensed professional hunters. Summers are hot, winter days mild and sunny, but nights and early mornings can be cold. Bring regular khaki clothes and ankle high boots. Terms and Pricing: Daily hunting rates starts from 580$ per client per day onwards. Our terms of business are following:

  • Additional days at the regular rate will be required for bow hunting.
  • Packages include accommodation, food, soft drink, trophy fees, field preparation & laundry, but excludes airfares & transfer fees.
  • Additional hunting days and species can be added at regular cost.
  • Although KIDO SAFARIS take all reasonable precautions for the clients safety, no liability will be accepted for injury, accidents or any losses incurred. We advise our clients to take out personal insurance against illness or accident before departure

Accommodation: Our lodge features a comfortable and relaxed dining room, cozy lounge, bar, open fire place attached to the lodge and a swimming pool with a thatched gazebo. A 50 % non-refundable deposit to confirm reservation, trip cancellation insurance recommended. * Balance of account (including trophy fees of all hunted or wounded animals) payable after termination of the hunt, by cash or travelers checks. Unfortunately we do not accept any credit cards.
