From October to February the main actor is the red partridge. Between the rocky mountains and the thick bushes, the rapid and nervous flying of this bird is unique. Due to the fact that the drives are always organised in areas with big hills and dense bushes, shooting partridges in El Palomar is really challenging even for the best hunters. Normally we can have at the most 5 drives per day, as the professional beaters have a hard work is the areas with thick bushes. Each drive will take around 30 to 45 minutes, and we try the birds don’t pass over the line all at a time so the hunters keep shooting all the time until the end.
The line should be of a minimum of 6 and maximum of 12 hunters, plus the non-hunters who join the group; and each hunter will have a secretary and a loader who will assist them in all moments during the hunt.
Between the different drives, when the Staff is collecting the birds, a nice snack and drinks will be served.

Hunting experience at Finca el palomar: Samuel Flores organizes in El Palomar since 1970 the best red partridge glimpses . The orography of this farm offers a hunting of partridge in eye of a beauty and incomparable quality. From October to February the partridge is the protagonist. Between abrupt cliffs and closed mountains, the rapid and nervous flight of the partridge is unmistakable. Because the eyes are always organized between the mountain and hills, hunting partridges in El Palomar is a challenge even for an experienced hunter. They usually give a maximum of five shots per day, since the professional work of the scouts requires time and skill and the areas that are beaten are extensive. Each eye lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, usually entering the dripping partridge, that is, on small sides, the emotion being even more intense as the hunter does not stop shooting until the end. Groups must be a minimum of 6 and up to 12 shotguns, separate companions. Each hunter has a loader and a secretary in the village to help him at all times. We also organize during the whole hunting season (from October to February) small game days in hand in other family farms such as Coto Camilo or Castillo de Montizón that offer ideal land for this type of hunting. We also offer hunting of mouflon in stalking in the Finca Los Alarcones (Andujar, Jaén) throughout the hunting season (October of February). Click here for quick link country guide.
