The owner says

Bettws Hall. We are a very well established, vertically integrated business based in mid wales. Originally founded on traditional agriculture – we have diversified over the past 27 years to specialise in the production and rearing of pheasants and partridges, and ultimately – the wonderful sport these birds offer. Our exclusive sporting estates are primarily focused on Mid Wales and the West Country. The natural topography of these areas, combined with the elements, provide incredibly high birds which will challenge even the most accomplished of guns. Our days are seamlessly run to ensure maximum enjoyment for all – this begins with our accommodation where you can enjoy fine dining created by our chef, accompanied with exquisite wine and all the amenities and comfort you would expect from a 5* hotel. We also provide luxury sporting holidays to our worldwide destinations.

About

Your host at Bettws Hall: Gwyn Evans, Managing Director. Gwyn founded the company in the late 1980's. Diversifying from farming, he formed the Bettws Hall Shoot and hatched chicks to supply it. With hard work, dedication and a passion for shooting, the company established itself as a front runner in the game industry. Over two decades G & A Leisure Ltd has built up a wide portfolio of interests and enjoys a reputation for innovation and quality. Gwyn hosts teams throughout the season and enjoys catching up with familiar faces as well as meeting new guests. Days with Gwyn are both relaxed and very sociable. He has a seasoned knowledge of the estates and will always strive to present the most glorious birds.

Game shooting at Bettws Hall: Over the past 29 years, Bettws Hall Game Farm has continued to work hard to produce the finest quality pheasant, partridge and ducks for delivery across the UK either as chicks or poults. Although at the end the season there are evidently fewer birds, there were still plenty of challenging pheasants. Not as high as some of the other Bettws Hall estates but for me the scenery and Vaynor House were worth the trip.

The birds were excellent and plenty of them, the estate was incredibly pretty and the whole day ran very smoothly. The guys at Bettws Hall made it look effortless! I will certainly be returning next season.

Fantastic personal service from start to finish, tailored everything to my requests. The best days shooting I've ever had so far (there have been many!) at both Chargot and Gregynog. Will be going back to both and trying some new estates this season.
