Baobab Hunting Safaris

The owner says

Baobab Hunting Safaris

Planning organising and leading hunters from across the globe into Africa is all I have done since I can remember helping my father do the same from childhood.

Nothing gives me greater pleasure than turning the excitement , expectations and imagination of hunters across the globe into those very special moments of reality.

The absolute rush of adrenaline , sense of achievement and a memory for life of my next client is what inspires me even more today than when I started out as a professional hunter.
Baobab Hunting Safaris is operated by Andrew Schoeman a second generation Professional hunter who followed in his father’s footsteps from a very young age.

His passion for hunting and knowledge of the African bush and wildlife will make sure that you will have a successful, enjoyable and a save hunt.

About

Location: Baobab Hunting Safaris is based in Western Cape province of South Africa offering big game and plains game hunts in South Africa and Namibia.

About your host at Baobab Hunting Safaris: Andrew Schoeman, Professional Hunter. Andrew has grown up in the footsteps of some legends in the hunting industry. His father Japie Schoeman and his life long friend Tony Sanchez-Ariño are to name but a few. Japie was a very highly respected professional hunter and one of the founding members of phasa (professional hunters association of South Africa). Tony is one of the old time elephant ivory hunters who worked with Japie and Andrew for many years. From a very young age Andrew accompanied his father and Tony on many hunting safaris where he gained valuable experience in the hunting industry. Andrew Started to chase his dreams right after school and worked for his father as an apprentice professional hunter. Three years later Andrew had the responsibility to run the hunting business on his own. Andrew has been a full time professional hunter since 1996 and has guided clients in many African countries including South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Tanzania. Since 2012 Andrew joined hands with Little Okavango Safaris and is now leading this team who are committed to make your hunt a memorable experience.

Hunting experience at Baobab Hunting Safaris: For many bow hunters it is a lifelong dream to successfully walk and stalk an animal. The biggest challenge is to get within 30 or 40 yards to make that perfect shot. Our hunting area is ideal for bow hunting and you will have plenty of opportunities if you put in the time and effort. Behind  every termite mount, under every shady tree you will bump into animals grazing the tall grass of the Matlabas river. During the raining season this tall grass attracts many animals and also creates perfect cover to get very close to the animals. Taking advantage of the game trails inside these grasslands will enhance your chances to get within shooting range. We recommend that our clients walk and stalk early mornings and late afternoons. As the day warms up we prefer to hunt from our bow blinds which is strategically build close to the water holes. Click here for quick link country guide.
