Wild Angler gladly accepts short-notice bookings if we have an opening. But we are a specialist service dedicated to the highest quality experience. To ensure our clients have the best possible angling expedition, it helps to plan as far as possible in advance. That way we can learn more about clients’ skills, experience, and goals and scout and monitor water to match. A 33 percent deposit is required to secure outings of two days or more; a 50 percent deposit is required for a single day. I urge deposits as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You can use Paypal, Visa or MasterCard to do this online. The remainder is due on pickup, but we prefer it well in advance. Cash, travellers’ checks or bank drafts are the preferred method to avoid a four-percent transaction fee. You can also pay by personal check. You may pay it all up front, and if you do, I'm happy to give a 5% discount. Keep in mind that New Zealand banks require at least 60 days to guarantee a foreign personal check has cleared.
Because we’re a premier, specialist service, cancellations affect us greatly. If we commit to taking your business, we turn down other clients. If you have a personal emergency, we will make every effort to rebook your slot and refund your money. But if we’re unsuccessful, cancellations within 60 days of trips result in a 50 percent cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of the trip incur a 75 percent charge. Cancellations within 10 days of trips incur a 100 percent charge. In some unique cases we may make exceptions.
