About the Host

I'm an active and avid fly fisherman (+30 years). I have been seasonally guiding for 20 years. I now own a small farm on the headwaters of the Numeralla River on the eastern side of the Monaro region. From this property, Kungla, I have established a fly fishing base for the region. Kungla also backs onto the Glenbog forest, in which you can obtain a hunting licence for Deer, pigs, foxes or wild dogs. More Fallow deer around however Red and Samba are also around.
I have lived the hospitality industry from a young lad and a family owned caravan park at Wallaga Lake, near Bermagui on the south coast of NSW Australia.
I enjoy taking people onto the Monaro waters to outfox educated Brown trout from the Blue Ribbon streams in the Region.
I also teach JKA Shotokan Karate at Bermagui Dojo and am a qualified cook catering for guests and visitors.
My kids, Saige and Quill are young and enjoy the life of living on the coast or heading up the mountains fishing and hunting.

We had fun. My partner and I had no dry fly experience, and Chris taught us basic and advanced casts and the team ambush technique. On the first day, we ventured out on the river to learn to spot, ... Read more

It was a great trip. Spectacular spot and Chris is a great host. Camped on the lake and saw some platypus as well as some large trout feeding around the edges
