Welcome to Italio River Adventures. We are a world class sports fishing, waterfowl, and adventure tourism business remotely located 25 air-miles outside of Yakutat, Alaska. We are one of the few outfitters approved to operate on the Italio and Dangerous River Drainages located in the Tongass National Forest. Experience world-class fly-fishing with us at our family owned and operated place on the Italio River. Pat Robbins along with his wife Lisa are the owners and operators of Italio River Adventures and take care of everything you may need, from Home-cooked meals to taking you to some of the most unique fishing spots in our area. Weather and fish permitting we are able to fish on the Old Italio, the Middle Italio, and the New Italio Rivers. Our priority is that you enjoy your fishing trip and get to relax and experience the real remote wilderness of Alaska.

We have a true love of the outdoors and the people we get to share this place with. This is our home, this is what we enjoy, and our clients become a part of our family, as we only cater to a select few groups each season. We feel that here with us At Italio River Adventures, we offer a very personalized level of service that you won't find anywhere else.
Fly-fishing experience at Italio River Adventures: At Italio River Adventures we offer a fully guided fishing trip. We take care of the charter plane from Yakutat to our place on the Italio River, we don’t charge extra for helping process your fish, and we include all of your meals. We will take care of you! You will only need to get to Yakutat (you can arrive in Yakutat by flying on Alaska Airlines, they have service to Yakutat twice a day), buy your sporting licenses and bring your personal gear (below is a list of what you will need to bring). After that, everything is on us. Please, do not hesitate to ask us for something specific or let us know if you have any food allergies or special requests. We specialize but are not limited to the catching of Silver Salmon and Pink Salmon, which start running the first week of August through Mid-October. Permits: It is best to go online to the Alaska Fish & Game Online Store and follow the instructions to purchase your fishing license. Be sure to add on the King stamp if you will be targeting Kings in July. Print out two copies and pack them in different locations. We cannot guide you if you do not have an Alaska fishing license. We do not sell licenses at the lodge. They can be purchased at the airport store.
