The Gallatin River Lodge was built in 1998 and opened to the public in 1999. The founder and owner, Steve Gamble, worked with Kane Architecture and Robert Naert Construction to construct a classic western Inn that enhances a spectacular location just west of Bozeman, Montana. The site includes a beautiful trout pond and is a short walk from the world renowned Gallatin River. In 2005, the Patio Dining Room was completed as shown in the photo below. In May 2012, the new Trout Cabin Lodge, is complete and also offers new contemporary rooms with cutting edge design features.

Location: The Gallatin River Lodge is a secluded, boutique luxury Bozeman hotel, Montana fly fishing lodge, and fine dining facility, located on a ranch with private access to the Gallatin River just west of Bozeman, Montana

About your host at Gallatin River Lodge:  Steve Gamble, Owner. The Lodge owner and outfitter, Steve Gamble, has been in the guiding and outfitting business since 1984 and has worked with many guides. He has selected the best men and women in this area to be part of the Gallatin River Lodge team. We understand that a pleasant, knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic fly fishing guide can make your Fly Fishing Trip truly unforgettable. Our Montana fly fishing guides are excellent instructors, are well trained in handling drift boats and rafts on our swift rivers and are enjoyable fishing companions. They also offer interesting insight into Montana's history and the outdoor environment.

Fishing experience at Gallatin River Lodge: Fly fishermen and women from around the world travel to southwest Montana for its exceptional fishing opportunities. Fishing options are endless, but we offer a popular combination to our fishing guests that include floating and wading. The goal at Gallatin River Lodge is to provide professional expertise on all of our waters, always keeping in mind that you make the decisions on the type of fly fishing that you prefer.  Venturing onto the river with an experienced fly fishing guide is key to an enjoyable and successful fishing trip. Our top-notch fly fishing guides help ensure that your fly fishing adventure is everything you expect... and much more. Our Rivers are the Gallatin, Madison, Jefferson, Missouri and Yellowstone. We fish over seventy miles of each of these rivers and all are within an hour's drive of the Lodge. We also fish spring creeks such as DePuy's, Armstrong's, and Nelson's. Trip was absolutely great .Lovely, quiet, fantastic staff, outstanding food. Weather didn't permit fly fishing but we didn't even care. Would book here again in a heartbeat. Incredible Thanksgiving... Read more
