Welcome to the Alaska Rainbow Adventures web site, We offer Alaska's finest float fishing trips for all anglers no matter your level of experience, and we do so on Alaska's most productive float trip waters, trips that are selected based upon you and your groups interests, that is the species you wish to come to Alaska and fish for, your available time to travel, species availability and run timing, what particular waters if any you are looking to fish on, the quality of wilderness experience you hope for, budget and other important factors such as the quality of people that you will share the river with as expressed in this sentiment from one of our recent guests.
Other trophy rainbow anglers often join us on Moraine and American Creeks each offering an unique Alaskan experience, with the Moraine famous for it's huge rainbows often easily sight fished and for it's bears and the American for it's more difficult access but in doing so you are partaking in an spectacular fishery with large numbers of dolly varden/char and beautifully spotted rainbows.
Your hosts at Alaska River Adventures: Paul Hansen, Owner. Our guides are personable and technically proficient. They routinely put you on the fish, untangle your knots, and provide expert fishing advice. You should expect nothing less of any guide in Alaska. Our guides provide so much more and then they go out and make you feel like "part of the family". We offer a selection of float fishing wilderness camping odysseys in Southwestern / Bristol Bay region of Alaska on the Togiak, Alagnak, Kanektok and Goodnews rivers. American creek for feisty bows on dries in late June - July and excellent char. The Chilikadrotna flowing from the spectacular twin lakes region of Lake Clark. The crystal clear made for fly fishing waters of the Tikchik where lovely arctic grayling 'sip' or 'slam' your offerings. The Koktuli and Stuyahok off the Mulchatna for King's and other salmon if you time it right. The upper Nushagak for rainbow well away from the crowds and worth the price of admission.
Flyfishing experience at Alaska River Adventures: We offer four different float trip programs on a wide variety waters across the state of Alaska, waters known by anglers from around the world for excellent fishing, be it for trophy rainbow trout or pacific salmon. These programs are our "Fisherman's Deluxe", "Fisherman's Standard" , "Intimate Rivers" & "Kanektok Style" float trips, and availability depends on the particular river you choose to float with us. On some waters most service levels are available on others due to accessibility, logistics and a need to travel light only what we call our "intimate rivers" version is an option. These are also our least expensive trips as less aircraft are required to haul gear to and from the river. Each of these packages offer a different level of service with the least expensive being what we have come to call our "intimate rivers" package utilizing smaller rafts, expedition style two to four man tents, and fewer other amenities then the two deluxe trips and should be considered as an 'roughing it' bare bones style trip, without seats in the rafts or cots in the tents and are comparable to what most other operators offer as standard Alaska float trip fare.
