SWORDFISH GAME FISHING IN ALABAMA: UNITED STATES

EXPLORE 1 SWORDFISH GAME FISHING DESTINATIONS IN ALABAMA: UNITED STATES AND PLAN YOUR NEXT FISHING TRIP

Spinning, Fly fishing, Game fishing, Salt water fishing, Spearfishing

With a special heat exchanger, or controlled heating, swordfish can stretch their territory deep down into the Spanish waters  during the day, plunging into water normally too cold for most tropical salt water fish species. Following a daytime snack in depths as deep as 550 meters, they retreat to warmer, shallower water at night to continue their search for small baitfish. Night time fishing for this fish species in the exotic Spanish land is especially rewarding but fishing for swordfish can also be done during the daytime at deeper water levels. Swordfish loose their teeth in their adulthood, therefore using their sword to whack and injure their prey before devouring it. In the interest of adhering to a full disclosure policy, one needs to be aware of the fact that swordfish are aggressive, cruising solo and fighting off sharks and other predators with their sword when confronted; making them one of the most dangerous species of fish to go after when spearfishing. It is customary policy for boats going out for swordfish to be equipped with live bait rigs, freshly killed squid (swordfish's favorite), and strips of skirted baitfish and big baitcasting reels that can take the hit of up to 530 kilograms. Fly fishing for swordfish exists like a rare ruby, it's out there, and waiting for you to give it a try!
